Glass and caramelized sugar are similar, so much that they can be confused. Playing on this similarity I made some caramel mosaics, and therefore edible, inspired by some recurring figures in the Byzantine mosaics of Ravenna: the detail of a lady’s dress in the procession of Theodora; the Lily; a star in the sky of the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia and the red cistus.
