Marcella Belletti – I colori dell’attesa

In the works created for this project, Marcella Belletti expresses waiting through colours and the involuntary shades they take on as a result of a mundane daily process (washing in the washing machine). But she does not stop there. Her works take on the prophetic dimension of real essences which, probing into time, find in waiting that extraordinary faculty in which inspiration can spring even from a dreamlike theft. A theft, in reality, never actually committed, but which offers every waiting that magical becoming that only the imagination allows. And everything becomes a vortex of intertwining plots and textures, pages and tiles that, blending and amalgamating, offer colours the supreme faculty of creating an artistic language whose uniqueness finds in Marcella Belletti’s art that codified turmoil capable of touching the strings of the soul. The artist is fully aware that in her work, waiting takes time away from life, but as a woman who merges with her own artistic gesture, she does not deprive herself of it. On the contrary, she expands its essence by reconnecting with the past and memory, creating an authentic clairvoyance destined for the future.
The fabric, the threads, the fragile ampoules in which the colours exert their seduction produce a mosaic created by a woman and an artist who dedicates herself to her work with determination and respect and who, every day, connects with reality without straying too far from her dreams. This is what her works tell us. From this, we can start to rethink every expectation as a prodigious opportunity to rediscover ourselves because “theft does not hurt”.
