Immaginose rappresentazioni – Contaminations between the Academy of Fine Arts and the National Museum

On display are around forty works by young artists from the Ravenna State Academy, which interact with the spaces and multiple presences of the Ravenna National Museum. The mosaic language of the latest generation of mosaicists, born or trained in Ravenna, opens up to a free and “imaginative” relationship with the traces of the past, identifying dystopian cartographies, amazing creatures, and poignant sentimental polyphonies, which intertwine with works from the museum’s permanent collection to reconstruct an otherworldly, magical, and disturbing imaginary.
