Synapse 

Synapse is a widespread exhibition, curated by Pietro Marini, which takes place in three locations in the city of Ravenna: the Domus of the stone carpets, the Edicola of Porta Adriana and the CISIM.
The three featured artists, Giorgia Baroncelli, Federico Ferroni and Lorenzo Scarpellini, activate connections between different languages (contemporary mosaic, photography, participatory installation, performance), generating a journey in which individual and collective identity is questioned, deconstructed and recomposed.
At the Domus of the Stone Carpets, the conceptual centre of the exhibition, the artists establish a profound dialogue with the place, understood as a meeting point between history and contemporaneity. The theme of the dwelling of the self runs through the entire installation: the home as a physical and mental space, a place for reflection on the human being and his relationship with time and memory.
In the newsstand of Porta Adriana, Giorgia Baroncelli engages in dialogue with Enrico Scapinelli and Stefano Belacchi in two interventions that address the need to deconstruct the ideological structures of the West (religious, political, cultural). The Edicola becomes a place of rupture and transformation thanks to the active participation of the public.
At CISIM, the exhibition project welcomes the works of Dissenso Cognitivo, in a presentation that reflects on the relationship between imagination and reality, between ruin and possibility. The space becomes a territory of critical crossing, open to multiple interpretations.
