Scultura mosaico. Il colore della scultura
The exhibition, comprising twenty-two sculptures created by contemporary artists (such as Nicola Samorì, Athos Ongaro, Giuseppe Tirelli and Sergio Zanni) and re-clad in mosaic by Gruppo Mosaicisti di Marco Santi, aims to analyse the coexistence of different artistic languages – sculpture, painting and mosaic, focusing in particular on the fundamental and expressive role that the mosaic technique plays in the work’s overall balance.
The exhibition will be staged on the ground floor of the National Museum of Ravenna, beginning in the Sala della Necropoli and presenting the core section in the Sala della Venezia Incatenata.
