Rossella Baccolini, Kina Bogdanova, Joanna Piszczek – Three different mosaic languages

Curated by Sandro Malossini. Three artists trained in Ravenna investigate the mosaic language, achieving different results. Rossella Baccolini searches for composition, purely aniconic, through the use of traditional materials such as marble or, in some cases, frees the surface from formal constraints by using recycled glass. Kina Bogdanova creates anthropomorphic figures that she covers with a sort of embroidery made of beads, fabrics and murrine glass. Joanna Piszczek recovers waste plastic and painstakingly cuts it up to then recompose it in elegant decorative compositions.
