Presentation of the catalogue “L’emergere della bellezza”

Presentation of the catalogue of the exhibition of master mosaicists from the Ismail Akhmetov collection, held at the Contemporary Art Gallery of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan, in Kazan, from 11 June to 8 September 2024.
The Akhmetov collection, the largest private collection of mosaics in the world, comprising over five hundred works, contributed sixty works to the exhibition: panels, sculptures and installations by artists from different countries. The works of 20th and 21st century masters offer a new and contemporary perspective on the ancient art of mosaics.
The publication brings together texts on contemporary monumental art, the history of Ismail Akhmetov’s collection, an overview of the works on display and their authors, as well as photographs of the works and the exhibition layout.
