Mariateresa Sartori – The Air Has a Weight

The exhibition, curated by Luca Donelli in collaboration with Gallerie G7 (Bologna) and Michela Rizzo (Venice), displays the works of Mariateresa Sartori. The artist presents a cycle of mosaic works in which air is considered both in its macroscopic aspects, in the case of the winds that envelop the world, and in its more minute aspects such as human breath. To the air, which only becomes visible when it moves things, must be attributed the weight of substance, with its precise entity. To know the wind then tell it in its own language, making it comprehensible even to those who do not chew that language. The wind passes through us, it affects us beyond all gaps, it does not let itself be imagined even when it stops or rests on the stillness of a sheet of paper ready to welcome it.
