Koko Mosaico – L’ego

L’ego is Luca Barberini’s new project, curated by Alessandro Randi – CODECZOMBIE.
With the presentation of this collection, the artist continues his efforts to raise awareness of the impact that humankind is having on the planet, this time pushing the conceptual and technical boundaries of the mosaic medium itself.
A single work divided into six independent pieces, each broken down into individual tiles and delivered to the viewers, just as the well-known toy brand presents its products to the public in kits: a box, instructions, numbered bags and, in this case, a trowel, frame and assembly materials.
Each subject is available in five numbered copies as part of a limited edition of 30 pieces. In a play on words that references the famous brand whilst expressing his own artistic vision, Luca Barberini explores the limits of the concept of the ego and the ways in which relationships between people are shaped by it.
