Fornice Objects & Yuyu Zhao

The bipersonal exhibition, curated by Eleonora Savorelli and organized by Marte Association, features works by designer Chiara Ravaioli, founder of the Fornice Objects brand, and artist Yuyu Zhao.
Fornice Objects combines materials research and modeling software with analog printing techniques, creating objects with functional beauty, whose colors change with light. “Fornice” recalls the opening between ancient arches. Ravaioli experiments with innovative materials such as bioplastics and agro-food waste: tomato peels and olive tree prunings give his vases elegant and unrepeatable hues.
Yuyu Zhao, born in 1996 in Inner Mongolia (China), trained artistically first in Florence and then in Ravenna, where she received her Second Level Degree in Mosaic in 2022. Through micromosaic, her expressive language, she observes and interprets reality, blending tradition and contemporaneity.
