Artifex. Mosaic and sculpture

At the Basilica of San Vitale, where the mosaic in Ravenna is born, the students, guided by Elena Pagani, teacher at the Liceo Artistico Nervi-Severini, will create contemporary mosaic works and mosaic sculptures in progress. The demonstration is contextual to the opening of the mosaic workshops and the permanent exhibition of copies of modern and contemporary mosaics made by the students of the Ravenna School from 1959 to today. Both the Ravenna Art School premises, where there is a permanent gallery dedicated to Maestro Antonio Rocchi, and the former Church of Santa Maria delle Croci will be open to the public.
