Gaggia-Dubbini. Ideal Dimension. In Transit towards Communities

In Dimensione ideale. In transito verso le comunità (lit. Ideal Dimension. In Transit towards Communities), curated by Daniele Torcellini, Giovanni Gaggia and Rocco Dubbini– both of Marche origin – started their journey as a duo with the work Golpe presented during the celebrations of the centenary of the birth of Pier Paolo Pasolini in 2022. They explore the social, political, and environmental tensions of our age, starting with the flood that hit Marche in 2022. Hydrogeological instability is highlighted by a series of works carried out on the sites of the former Montedison: the sulphur refinery of Bellisio Solfare, in the municipality of Pergola (PU), closely connected to the mining basin of nearby Cabernardi (AN). The blue blanket, photographed in the areas affected by the flood, becomes a political surface on which to act and embroider. The work is the sky, the sea, the light and it is the beginning of a project that, crossing different territories, will narrate both the environmental problems and the theme of migration: moving, trespassing in search of a better life.
