Vittorio D’Augusta – Ti verrà dietro la città
Vittorio D’Augusta‘s solo exhibition, Ti verrà dietro la città, curated by Claudio Spadoni and promoted by CAPIT Ravenna, is inspired by a verse by Konstantinos Kavafis and consists of a number of installations, which, through paintings and various materials, evoke the theme of migration and ‘disorientation’. D’Augusta, who was born in Rijeka, experienced the exodus as a child, “which is not a move but a figure of the soul, a separation, and presupposes the loss not only of one’s own places, but of something of oneself. With painting, I try to find the missing part, what is left of me in the Kvarner Sea’. In the exhibition, the installations measure themselves and live in the spaces of the Museo San Rocco in an existential reciprocity, they are nourished by painting, but also by objects or instruments functional to the story.
