Texturas Lucis

Texturas Lucis is an exhibition-tribute to Alberto Burri, curated by Ivana Ciuti, with works by Annalisa Marcucci, Virna Valli and Carla Passarelli. Glass, the material of mosaic, has a marvellous characteristic that is called “shape memory”, which can be considered a consistency of life of the material. In fact, as it is moulded, and during its production, it maintains its acquired identity, whether accidental or desired. The same characteristic is found in natural fibres. The material, and its design, thus become a poetic language. In Burri’s works, the poetry of matter and its transformation is the aspect that has always fascinated mosaicists.
