Sibylle Luquet – Deae

The trip proposed by Deae, curated by Nathalie Tranchant, illustrates the artistic journey of mosaicist Sibylle Luquet, from her discovery of Roman mosaics to her first steps into the contemporary. As every story has its main characters, this tale will present an exclusively female Pantheon, composed of goddesses and their prophetesses. Drawing its origins from different mythologies, each moulded portrait is, however, an original conception of the artist, in which she actually seeks her own face. A mosaic journey, a historical journey, a personal journey, but above all an initiatory journey.
