Luca Barberini – Catodica

The world seen through the eyes of a young boy, through a television screen. No, not just one screen, but twenty, at the same time, along one of the main streets of Ravenna: Via Diaz. At the foot of the building that in those years, late 1980s/early 1990s, was the headquarters of the Ferruzzi group, an entrepreneurial reality led by Raoul Gardini, whose vicissitudes were intertwined with one of the most complex moments in the social, political and economic history of Italy. The young boy from that time, today, is Luca Barberini, an artist based in Ravenna who expresses himself through mosaics, embodying in glass and stone materials the reality that surrounds him, filtered through the mass communication media.
