The call

What are fishermen “called” to do today? To save the sea from pollution? Migrants from shipwrecks? Fish from extinction? And are we not – all of us – “fishermen” and “fisherwomen”? Three “anomalous” dolphins land in Darsena, as an exhortation to all of us.
The project, by Loretta Merenda and assisted by Claudia Marinoni, together with the Gruppo Arte e Pratiche Artistiche – Casa delle Donne Ravenna, intends to cite a well-known Byzantine mosaic of Ravenna: the detail of the dolphin in the panel of the Calling of Peter and Andrew, in the Basilica of St. Apollinare Nuovo. The mosaic tesserae are CDs and DVDs, now disused objects destined for recycling, to which this project gives new life.
