The Mosaic School was founded in 1924 on the initiative of Giovanni Guerrini, Professor of Decoration, against a backdrop of renewed interest in decoration. This is documented by materials from the Academy’s Historical Library and the Classense Library, as well as by the cartoons of the early masters, Zampiga, Azzaroni and Signorini.
