Yuyu Zhao – Mah Jong 

The work “Mah Jong” by Yuyu Zhao is a micromosaic piece that highlights the historic relationship between Ravenna and China. Mahjong is one of the most popular games in the world, originating in China around the 6th century BC, and it has a special connection with Ravenna, having won the hearts of its inhabitants. Thus, Yuyu Zhao, of Asian origin, through her ingenious creative vision, has succeeded in translating into mosaic a game that is still played today by the people of Ravenna.
