Francesco Cavaliere, Leonardo Pivi – Prodigy Kid

The MAR – Ravenna Art Museum, as part of the 7th Biennial of Contemporary Mosaics, presents Prodigy Kid, a major exhibition featuring the artists Francesco Cavaliere and Leonardo Pivi, on display in the first- and second-floor galleries of the museum from 8 October 2022 to 8 January 2023.
The exhibition, made possible thanks to the valuable support of the Emilia-Romagna Region, the Emilia-Romagna 2014/2020 ERDF Operational Programme – Axis 6 – Actions 2.3.1. ‘Attractive and Participatory Cities’, by La Cassa di Ravenna S.p.A., the Fondazione del Monte di Bologna e Ravenna, and Romagna Acque Società delle Fonti, is divided into three sections.
The first two are dedicated to a selection of works created independently by the artists during their personal artistic endeavours. The third is dedicated to the series of works created in collaboration.
Since 2018, Francesco Cavaliere and Leonardo Pivi have in fact been bringing their practices together in a shared, multi-layered body of work that is rich both in terms of meaning and in terms of media, with a preference for installations of mosaics, sculptures and objects, brought to life by performative actions, spoken and written words, and sound explorations.
