Francesco Cavaliere, Leonardo Pivi – Prodigy Kid

In the spaces of the MAR — Art Museum of the City of Ravenna, as part of the exhibition Prodigy Kid |Francesco Cavaliere — Leonardo Pivi (from 8 October 2022 to 8 January 2023, opening on Friday 7 October at 5.30pm), contemporary art and ancient art meet and influence each other.
The exhibition, made possible thanks to the valued support of the Fondazione del Monte di Bologna e Ravenna, Romagna Acque, the Emilia-Romagna Region, La Cassa di Risparmio di Ravenna and the POR FESR Emilia-Romagna 2014/2020 Programme – Axis 6 – Actions 2.3.1. “Attractive and Participating Cities”, is curated by Daniele Torcellini. It is divided into three sections. The first two are dedicated to a selection of works created independently by the artists in the course of their personal activities. The third is dedicated to the series of collaborative works and includes a special nucleus of works from the Roman and Renaissance periods, in close dialogue with the artists’ production. Since 2018, Francesco Cavaliere and Leonardo Pivi have been converging their practices in collaborative work, layered and rich in both meaning and media, with a preference for mosaic installations, sculptures and objects animated by performative actions, narrated and written words, and sound explorations.
