Mosaic Residencies

On 28 October at 4 p.m., as part of the 8th edition of the Biennial of Contemporary Mosaic, a talk will be held with the protagonists Roberta Cacciatore, Ambra D’Atri, Rebecca Sforzani and Arianna Maestrale (Mixta), flanked by the mosaicists of the workshops that hosted them: Koko Mosaico of Arianna Gallo and Gruppo Mosaicisti Ravenna by Marco Santi.
The curator of the Contemporary Mosaic Biennial, Daniele Torcellini, and the director of GA/ER, Leonardo Punginelli, will also participate.
The meeting will be an opportunity to deepen the experience of the Mosaic Residencies, one of the projects promoted by GAeM – Young Artists and Mosaic.

The Mosaic Residencies are part of the project Costellazione – Giovani connessioni creative, realised thanks to the collaboration and support of the Emilia-Romagna Region and GA/ER – Young Artists Emilia-Romagna. The project has given to artists the opportunity to develop new ideas related to the city of Ravenna and its connection with mosaic, involving local workshops and production studios.

2:30 p.m. – Visit to the artwork Costruire argini per torcere fiumi di Roberta Cacciatore, curated by Ambra D’Atri, at National Museum of Ravenna (Via San Vitale, 17).
3:00 p.m. – Inaugurazione dell’opera Pialassa di Rebecca Sforzani, a cura di Arianna Maestrale (Mixta), presso la Cripta Sommersa della Basilica di San Francesco (Piazza San Francesco, 3).
4 p.m. – Talk presso la Sala Martini del MAR.
