Michela Tabaton Osbourne – Exodus

The exhibition, curated by Davide Caroli, presents a series of sculptures created using a variety of techniques and materials — including marble, papier-mâché and mosaic — which give shape to a visual narrative on hybrid identity and the processes of transformation and belonging. The works reflect on the dynamics of migration not as a direct experience, but as a trace embedded in family memory, generational trauma and cultural heritage. Hybridity thus becomes both matter and language, expressing an identity in constant evolution.
Michela Tabaton Osbourne was proclaimed the winner of the Orsoni Venezia 1888 prize awarded at the sixth edition of the GAeM – Young Artists and Mosaic Prize as part of the 8th Biennial of Contemporary Mosaic.
