In 2011, the Rotary Club Ravenna established a scholarship to create a themed mosaic at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ravenna, with a prize for the winner and contribution to the costs made by the Academy for the selected mosaics. Since the beginning, the competition was monitored by Giovanni Scapini, a member of the Club. The finalist works remain the property of the Rotary Club Ravenna.
